For some reason this style reminds me a bit of Edward Gorey.

He was one of the greatest, but he couldn't hold his licor and most of his works got lost, poor thing.

Somebody told me his poems are something like Baudelaire, with a touch of Rimbaud but the atmosphere of Lautreamont... though the owl was an english gentleman, he spend some years in France before he moved and died in Warsaw ;)
